Casa Cantillon is an authentic Portuguese two bedroomed town house, located in the old town of Tavira. The house is adjacent to the archaeological sites in Tavira. Perfectly located for a family vacation or among friends.

There is a very peaceful atmosphere at Casa Cantillon right in the heart of the beautiful town of Tavira. You can reach everything on foot from the house, such as shops, bars, supermarkets and restaurants.

What does the environment look like?

The house is situated in the old town of Tavira. Typical for this part of town are the small, narrow streets  and an amazing array of churches

What is the interior like?

Casa Cantillon is a stylish and typical, recently renovated town house. Upon entering the house, there is a large living room with a sitting and dining area. There are two sofas with a flat screen TV showing Astra 19 Satellite. On the first floor, there is the kitchen and bathroom with the original azulejos (tiles) on the walls. A few steps up is the first bedroom with a double bed and a large window with a balcony, this bedroom has air conditioning. On the third floor, is the second bedroom with two single beds. From this floor you will come to a terrace with a table and four chairs, a barbecue and a traditional pizza oven at your disposal.

Are there sun beds and parasols?

On the terrace there is a parasol, a table and four chairs and one sunbed.

How far are the shops and restaurants?

Within walking distance of the house there is a wide range of shops and restaurants.

How far are the beaches?

Tavira Island is the closest beach located to the house. A 5 minutes stroll will bring you to the ferry going from Tavira harbour to the island. Tavira island is a 10 kilometer long white sand beach with several beach restaurants and beach bars.

How far are the golf courses?

There are excellent golf courses within 5 to 10 minutes drive from the house. The nearest are Benamor , Quinta da Ria , Quinta da Cima and Monte Rei.

Is a car recommended for this property?

A car is not necessary for this property. If you do want to explore the beautiful towns in the Algarve, it is advisable to rent a car. You can rent cars and / or bicycles with us. Please specify when making your booking.

 

Is the accommodation suitable for children?

The accommodation is child friendly, there are stairs in the house going to the first and second floors. Casa Cantillon is recommended for ages from  7 years and older.

What facilities are there for children and babies?

There is a cot and high chair provided. There is a charge of 20 euro per week for the rental of the cot, linen  and high chair.

Is the accommodation suitable for the elderly?

The property is recommended for the elderly,  there are stairs that go to the first and second floors.

How close are the neighbours?

This is a centrally  located town house, there are neighbours on one side of the house and on the other side archaeological ruins of Tavira.

What access is there to the house?

You can easily get around by foot to and from the house. Tavira is easy to reach by bus, train or car from the airport in Faro.

Is smoking allowed?

There are ashtrays for smoking outside the accommodation.

Are pets allowed?

Please specify when making your booking if you wish to bring your pet. Small pets are welcome.

What days can we check-in and when do we have to check-out?

Arrivals are flexible, normal check-in time is at 2 pm and check-out time is 10 am, unless otherwise agreed.

Are linen, bath and beach towels provided?

Yes, we provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms.

Will there be provisions at the accommodation upon arrival?

There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals.

Will there be a local representative available on arrival and in the event that we need any assistance?

Guests will be met at the villa, or otherwise informed where to locate the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.
