Our stay in Quinta do Pedro was great. The house is very good and all spaces are comfortable and proper. We were positively surprised because the images in the website were few and didn’t show how good the house is. The pools are also very good and all the space around it. The property is also well equipped with all the necessary tools. The washing machine was damaged but when we noticed it and called Justina and the problem was promptly solved.

We only have good things to say about our holidays and about the house. We had a very pleasant time at Quinta do Pedro. The kids loved the house and want to get back again this year. The day after our arrival they asked me if we could go back in July, so that shows how satisfied they were with their holidays. I can only say thank you for the wonderful time we spent and hope we can enjoy the house and the Algarve somewhere in a short future. It was a pity the weather wasn't so good, we didn't use the pool as much as we would have liked.

All families had a great time and were very happy with the space in functionality, comfort and cleaning of the house. The neighbourhood was really calm.The only surprise was the two top rooms as we were not counting that we could not use it. No big problem for us as we were just missing beds for two kids and that was easy to accommodate in the other bedrooms. But maybe it would be good to suggest to the owner to install air conditioning also in that room. Overall everyone had a great time and your service was also excellent and very "user-friendly". Thank you :)

Feedback from my group: The House/mansion: Excellent! Every room has their own bathroom. Well sized. Nothing to complain about. The Garden/pool area: Perfect (two pools). There are not so much grass area but there is a ping-ping table (a bit dusty after sun/rain but it’s ok to play at). I hated the fountain with green water and all the frogs. Terrible noise in the evenings ?. A good Weber BBQ. The location: We chose the house due to its location. There are several beautiful beaches in a radio of 20 min with car/ferry. Rental car is always good to have in Portugal and is so cheap! Overall rating: ***** perfect house for a large group. It’s even better than the pictures! Elisabeth gave us excellent service and got the internet fixed after chasing around after technicians some days.

An ideal accommodation for groups and families on vacation together….A newly renovated and spacious villa with two private pools and gardens with sea views situated just 1 km from the river and beaches belonging to the Ria Formosa nature reserve.

What is the outside area like?

There is a large lawn area on the south side of the villa, with a spacious cobbled patio surrounding the pools and parking area. A small front garden with lawn and palm trees sets the property off the quiet roadside. An external patio with decking is located just outside the lounge and ding room. At the end of the garden is an outdoor barbeque area with a sink. There is also a covered pergola with sun loungers, near to a fish pond and fountain.

What is the interior like?

In total there are 11 bedrooms, 9 of which have air conditioning, en suite bathrooms, a small fridge, hair dryer and a television. The ground floor has a large lounge and dining area leading from the fully equipped kitchen. Next to the lounge is a games room.  There is another lounge on the first floor level with a comfortable seating area and TV with Wii games console and a DVD player. On the first floor there are 5 bedrooms. On the second floor there are 4 twin bedrooms and on the third floor there is a double and 1 twin bedroom. The bedrooms on the second and third floor can be let for an extra price per room, if required. There is wireless internet access at Quinta do Pedro and air conditioning throughout.

Are sun loungers and umbrellas provided?

Plenty of quality sun loungers deck the terrace around the pool and there are sun umbrellas, tables and chairs available.

What are the dimensions of the pool? What type of pool cleaning?

There are two pools at Quinta do Pedro, one is a larger 12 m x 4.5 m pool with steps leading into a shallow end of 1.3 m and a deep end of 2.2 m. Beside this is a round infants pool with a diameter of 3.6 m and with a depth of 0.5 m throughout. Both are freshwater pools with chlorine cleaning system. The pools are serviced twice weekly during summer and once weekly during the rest of the year by a competent and reliable professional. Pool and garden lighting is available.

How far are the shops and restaurants?

There is one café some meters down the lane. There is a local restaurant/snackbar further down the road. Shops are located within 10/15 minutes drive in Luz de Tavira, Fuzeta, Olhão and Tavira.

How far are the beaches?

Located in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, fantastic white sand beaches within walking distance. Not all beaches are accessible without a boat. The beaches in this area are like desert islands, havens for wildlife and hardly visited by tourists. There are easily accessible beaches in Fuzeta and Santa Luzia, which are reached by either ferry, miniature train or on foot.

How far are the golf courses?

There are excellent golf courses within 8km to 10km from the accommodation. The closest is in Colina Verde and a little further are Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, and Monte Rei.

Is a car recommended for this property?

Yes, especially in the heat of summer…and for reaching all the beautiful and interesting places further afield. Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.

We also can recommend bicycle hire as a very suitable form of transport for this location as nearby towns, villages and beaches are accessible by a good network of bicycle and pedestrian paths. Please enquire for our price list for bicycle hire with home delivery and collection.

There is a top floor with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom and bathroom which can accommodate a further four adults, please enquire if required.

The house can only be let as a five bedroom unit in the off peak season.

Yes, an ideal location for families with children of any age, having the child pool and games as extra entertainment.

We can provide cots and high chairs. Please let us know how many are required and if you have any other requirements.

Is the accommodation suitable for elderly?

There are many stairs in this property and no bedroom on the same level as the kitchen, lounge and dining room.

How close are the nearest neighbours? Is the property overlooked?

There are neighbours on both sides of the villa, however none directly overlook either the property or the gardens.

What type of access it there to the property?

A good tarmac road accesses to the property, leading from a main road.

How quiet is the area around the property?

The location is a rural and tranquil area which leads down to the river and coast.

Is smoking permitted?

Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside the property.

Are pets allowed at the accommodation?

Due to the possibility of guests being allergic to animal hair, we would rather not allow pets.

Which is the changeover day and time?

Flexible, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.

Are linen, bath towels and beach towels provided?

Yes, we provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms.

Will there be provisions at the accommodation upon arrival?

There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals.

Will there be a local representative available on arrival and in the event that we need any assistance?

Guests will be met at the villa, or otherwise informed where to locate the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.

A deposit of 500 euro is required upon arrival. This will be reimbursed upon departure.

Prices stated are for five bedrooms, any further rooms are available at 100 euros per week in low season, 200 euros per week in mid season and 300 euros per week in high season and 400 euros per week in peak season.  Any unused bedrooms will remain closed.
