Earls house was lovely, beautiful traditional tiles, well equipped kitchen great position right in the middle of Tavira. Plenty of storage in each bedroom with extra blankets and pillows in wardrobes. There was even a shopping trolley which was perfect for shopping at daily fish and vegetable market. 2 fridges, decent oven/hob, washing machine. Loved the electric juicer, had fresh OJ each day. Oranges only  €1 for 3kg at the market! Kindly agreed to allow our well behaved dog to stay. He loved sitting on one of the Julie balconies watching the world go by. We went before the sun got hot so the extra blankets and heater were welcomed very much.

We enjoyed our stay in Earls House in Tavira. The house was comfortable, well equipped and in a really convenient location near to the centre of town. The booking process and communication before our visit was excellent and arrangements for our arrival were efficient and we were met and welcomed promptly on our arrival.  The starter pack of food provided for our breakfast was very helpful given our late arrival.

We would like to suggest a few improvements to make the accommodation even better for future guests.  We did have a problem with the TV and found it difficult to find the channels - perhaps some written instructions would be helpful.  Perhaps a couple more sunbeds would be an idea given that the house accommodates 6 people. However, none of these issues detracted from our enjoyment and overall we had a lovely time in beautiful Tavira.

For people looking for a real gem, a truly cosy house.  We can recommend Earls House and Jacaranda as a good service agent.

Located very centrally in Tavira town, the house sleeps 6, is nicely decorated and painted and its all there.  Of course you are in the town centre, a little breeze you must like!  Certainly since you will often be outside on the beautiful terrace in the sun from morning till late afternoon.  Also in winter, imagine!  In summer this caters for long evenings outside.

That means if you don't go out, which is easy since you are walking distance from every interesting venue, bar, restaurant, terrace, what have you.

We have just spent 7 weeks of winter there.  Both Tavira and the house made it a stay to remember.  Hurry to book before we do!  We will most certainly come again and bring friends, like we did this year.

We have had a wonderful time in Tavira again and we are very fond of the Earls House. It's a perfect place for us to stay. Good placed in Tavira with it's restaurants, close to Pingo doce for cooking home and since we had a car, good for exploring beaches and other attractions.
The house is very spacius and comfortable for us and well equiped. We have added an extra sun umbrella to the house this year.
Hopefully we'll be able to come back another year.

Earls House is a charming 3 bedroom town house, with air conditioning, situated in the heart of Tavira.

A spacious interior combining traditional architectural details, wooden peak ceilings, wooden doors, shutters and floors, skylights, glass brick walls, Moroccan and terracotta tiles and furnished with charming antique and modern furniture.

What is the outside area like?

This self-catering townhouse is accessed by a stone staircase from a small private courtyard. There is a shaded terrace on the top floor, leading from the kitchen with a wooden table and chairs and reclining chairs.

What is the interior like?

Providing plenty of light, space and comfort with entertainment for staying in with Wifi/Broadband internet, Cable TV with 60 channels and a DVD player.

On entering there is a double bedroom with air conditioning, a spacious living room, full bathroom and another bedroom with twin beds.

Wooden stairs lead up from the living room to another floor with a large air conditioned double bedroom, full bathroom and an ample kitchen with a terrace, allowing for dining inside or outside.

Lovely spacious and beautifully furnished bedrooms, two of which have air conditioning with built in wardrobes and comfortable beds with good mattresses and linen.

Are sun loungers and umbrellas provided?

Two reclining sun loungers deck the shaded terrace, a table and chairs are also available.

How far are the shops and restaurants?

A stones’ throw from restaurants, bars and shops.

How far are the beaches?

Tavira Island beach can be reached by ferry boat from just across the river, a 4 minute walk away. You will discover wonderful golden, sandy beaches, beach bars and restaurants on an island 10 miles by 1. The town ferry runs regularly from the end of may to the end of September. There is an alternate ferry service from 2km down river which runs all year.

How far are the golf courses?

There are excellent golf courses within 5 to 10 minutes drive from the accommodation. The closest are Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, Monte Rei.

Is a car recommended for this property?

Not at all essential. Tavira offers plenty of local entertainment and places of interest.

Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.

 

 

Is the accommodation suitable for children?

Yes, this house is suitable, taking in account that there are two flights of stairs.

What facilities are there for babies and children?

There is a cot and high chair provided. Please let us know if you have any other requirements.

How close are the nearest neighbours? Is the property overlooked?

This is a centrally located townhouse with close proximity to neighbours, restaurants, late-licenced bars and shops. Tavira skyline is like a patchwork of close knit terraces and rooftops, which can be overlooked… adding to the character and experience of town life!

What type of access it there to the property?

Easily accessible by bus, train and by car. The entrance has a traditional ‘porta da reixa’ gridded door leading from the street.

How quiet is the area around the property?

This is a mostly residential area though there are some cafés and late-licenced bars on the street to the back of the house.

Is smoking permitted?

Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside the property.

Are pets allowed at the accommodation?

Due to the possibility of guests being allergic to animal hair, we would rather not allow pets.

Which is the changeover day and time?

Flexible, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.

Are linen, bath towels and beach towels provided?

Yes, we provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms.

Will there be provisions at the accommodation upon arrival?

There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals.

Will there be a local representative available on arrival and in the event that we need any assistance?

Guests will be met at the property. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.
