Dora’s apartment is a beautiful, 3 bedroom modern apartment on the ground floor. The apartment is within walking distance from Historic Tavira and the fishing village of Santa Luzia. The beach islands of Ilha de Tavira and Terra Straita are also on the doorstep, an ideal location for a family holiday.

What is the outside area like?

The apartment is on the ground floor of a three storey building. There is free parking in front of the apartment building. The apartment has two terraces one at the front of the building and one at the rear. The terrace near to the kitchen has a table and chairs for six people and a barbeque at your disposal.

What is the interior like?

The three bedrooms can be accessed directly from the hallway. The first bedroom is on your left is furnished with a double bed and a has an en-suite bathroom with a shower unit and toilet. The second bedroom also has a double bed, all bedrooms have built in wardrobes and air conditioning. Both of these bedrooms have access on to the terrace at the front of the apartment. There is a bathroom with a bath and shower facility also off the hallway. The third bedroom is at the end of the hallway and has a large en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet.

Leading from the hallway is a very spacious and comfortable living room. The living room has a large corner settee and a flat screen TV with DVD player. The fully equipped modern kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and a large round table with six dining chairs. Both the kitchen and living room have access on to the terrace with barbeque facilities.

Are sun loungers and umbrellas provided?

There are 2 sun loungers at your disposal and an umbrella.

How far are the shops and restaurants?

It is a short walk to Tavira train station, where there is also large supermarket. From there it’s a 2 minute walk down into the town where there are more shops and plenty of restaurants. The closest bar/café is a 2 minute walk from the apartment. A bike trail running the full width of the Algarve, the ’ Eco via’ is accessed in front of the house.

How far are the beaches?

There is a regular ferry boat from Tavira to the Island of Tavira. It is about a 10 minute walk to the harbour from where the ferry departs. Walking in the opposite direction for 20 minutes you will reach the very quaint fishing village of Santa Luzia and access to Terra Straita beach.

How far are the golf courses?

There are excellent golf courses within 15 to 20 minutes drive from the accommodation. The closest are Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, Monte Rei.

Is a car recommended for this property?

Not necessarily if you like to walk. You can do everything by foot, however if you would like to reach all the beautiful and interesting places further away it is recommended to rent a car. Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.

 

Is the accommodation suitable for children?

This property and terrain is definitely suitable for children.

Is the accommodation suitable for elderly?

This property is very suitable for elderly or less mobile people, as all the facilities are on one level.

How close are the nearest neighbours? Is the property overlooked?

Dora’s Apartment has adjacent and similar apartments on either side.

What type of access it there to the property?

Dora’s Apartment is accessed via a tarmac road. There is parking at the rear of the building.

How quiet is the area around the property?

Dora’s Apartment is in a quiet residential area.

Is smoking permitted?

Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside the property.

Are pets allowed at the accommodation?

Due to the possibility of guests being allergic to animal hair, we would rather not allow pets.

Which is the changeover day and time?

Flexible, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.

Are linen, bath towels and beach towels provided?

Yes, we provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms. Beach towels are also provided.

Will there be provisions at the accommodation upon arrival?

There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals. Please ask for any further shopping requirements.

Will there be a local representative available on arrival and in the event that we need any assistance?

Guests will be met at the villa, or otherwise informed where to locate the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.
